Will it look like this at your house at some point? maybe you'll get to test it that theory. we're experiencing a very Seattle day here. Rain, rain, rain. Bring it.
We had freezing rain on Sunday morning last weekend. I didn't even get to the parking lot of my apt. complex, the sidewalk was so slick. No way I was going to try to drive my slipping-transmission POS five miles to church.
A couple of hours later, the EQ president called from the wardhouse; apparently several of the more intrepid (and more faithful) among our flock had attempted the journey and slid off the road. The EQ prez was checking on absentees to make sure we weren't likewise stranded.
Running through my head all morning along with sympathy for my coreligionists who today lost a battle with the laws of physics? Gratitude for leaders like Hugh B. Brown. He was right: it's good to be faithful, but it's better to be faithful and competent.
